The conference on sustainable development, the circular economy and the new era of green energy was successful.

The company's information day was successfully held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the ALFAWOODGROUP industrial facilities in Kato Nevrokopi, Drama, on the topic of sustainable development, the circular economy and the new era of green energy.

The event brought together partners, industry representatives and institutional guests, who had the opportunity to learn about the modern challenges and prospects of sustainable production, biomass utilization and the transition to green energy models.

Greetings were delivered by Mr. Dimitrios Kyriazidis, Member of Parliament for Drama of the New Democracy party, Mr. Anastasios Nikolaidis, Member of Parliament for Drama of the PASOK party, and Mr. Eleftherios Tambourides, Mayor of Kato Nevrokopi.

The conference began with a welcome coffee, followed by a tour of the industrial pellet and briquette production facilities of ALFAWOODGROUP. During the tour, the production units, technological applications, innovative processes implemented by the company, as well as new investments in energy production from biomass and photovoltaic systems were presented.

Afterwards, speeches were held focusing on innovation, development and the green vision of ALFA WOOD GROUP, as well as the circular utilization of forest and agroforestry biomass for the production of high added value products. Particular emphasis was also given to the role of pellets in the new energy reality, as well as the institutional approach and initiatives of ELEAVIOM.

The conference was attended by speakers including Mr. Alexandros Tsinidis, R&D Manager of ALFA WOOD GROUP, Dr. Georgios Dalos, Professor of the University of Thessaly in the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design, as well as Mr. Nikolaos Damatis, Dipl. Production & Management Engineer and General Secretary of ELEAVIOM.

After the presentations, a networking lunch followed, during which participants had the opportunity to discuss and exchange views on developments in the sector, highlighting the opportunities created through the circular economy, sustainable development and green energy.
